California Road Trips 2009 is a special advertising section that went into selected copies of Sunset Magazine’s June issue. As such, it’s chock full of ads, but there are several pretty good road trip plans in here, and if you want something that is low on hassle and planning, this is a good start. The trips are laid out pretty much in geographic regions, with a page or so of information and then corresponding ads for hotels and attractions in that region. The “Free & Easy” tips are great, and encompass the best of the freebies you can find on each trip, and the book is laid out well, easy to read and should get you excited about at least one of the trips.
