Guaranteed Snow in Wyoming
Winter driving usually means trying to avoid snow, but visitors to Togwotee Mountain Lodge, a mountain resort nestled high above Jackson Hole, WY in the mountains of the Bridger-Teton National Forest near Yellowstone National Park, come for the hundreds of inches of fresh powder each year.
And, since the snow is the main attraction, the lodge has pledged a “no snow, no show” guarantee. Guests can cancel their reservations within 72 hours of their trip in the event of poor snow conditions. Which means, if snow is your thing, this is the road trip destination for your family.
Togwotee Mountain Lodge isn’t a ski resort, it’s true backcountry exploration, via the lodge’s fleet of snowmobiles. The lodge is located in 2.5 million acres (yes, million!) of National Forest and the variety of terrain is endless. Guide service is available, and everything from advanced backcountry riding to scenic trail rides is offered, with rides and guides matched to the visitor’s ability. The winter activities in the surrounding areas are also spectacular, and completely different from what you’ll enjoy when visiting the area in the summer.
