I can’t believe that this list does not include Scranton,Pa. If someone did do their homework they would see that Savannah , Ga was overtaken 2nd place by Scranton,Pa in 2010. In 2010, Scranton,pa was listed as haveing nearly 253,000 people at last years parade. 2011 promises to be much higher with the rising economy. 253,000 were at the parade ALONE..not counting those in the bars and clubs located only a block from the center of the parade. In 2010, ALL of the hotels were soldout for that day alone a year in advance. I would bet, if you check to see if this day is availible..most hotels would say no. You might get a hotel in dunmore which is like..ten minutes from center city. Scranton,Pa ofcourse is home to The New York yankees farm team Scranton/Wilkes barre yankees. The Scranton/Wilkes barre penguins. I hope someone does come to our parade and enjoy themselves. Some Advice..book now!

Jody — Great minds rock. I’ll go check out your article. I can’t get over all that St. Baldrick’s has done. I’m completely impressed. Not sure I want to shave my head but if I had a relative or friend going thru that I would. What a difference that must make for a kid to go to school and see other bald kids supporting them. Makes me cry.

Great article! As per our conversation, I wanted to let everyone in NYC know that NYC’s Financial District based KK Salon (www.kksalon.com) will once again provide volunteers to “Shave the Way” in conquering kids cancer in the annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation event on St. Patrick’s Day.

The event will take place directly next door to KK Salon, at Jim Brady’s bar, located at 75 Maiden Lane between Gold & Williams St. between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. on March 17, 2010.
