Where We’re Going Next
September 24-26
Amelia Island, Florida
Celebrating the end of summer and the arrival of fall, Feed Me and family will venture south for one more road trip before cold weather overtakes the Midwest. Graciously hosted by the Residence Inn Amelia Island, we’ll make the popular Florida island destination our weekend home. Amelia River Cruises and Charters will take us into backwaters of Amelia Island, Cumberland Island, and up Egan’s Creek to the Amelia Island Lighthouse, setting the stage for the Amelia Island Geocaching Challenge (a last hurrah geocaching adventure before the snow flies—available year-round to residents, visitors, and cache-deprived families everywhere).
August 27-29
Wild Dunes Resort and Charleston, South Carolina
Nearly touching the Atlantic Ocean, Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, South Carolina is a 1,600 acre, family-friendly island resort full of romance, adventure, and southern hospitality. For one last summer hurrah before the start of another school year, Feed Me and family hope to find fireflies and magic along with waterslides, bicycle rides, tidal pools, sand castles and dancing into the evening. We’ll dine at The Lettered Olive and take day trips along the shore and into historic Charleston.
