Resort at Squaw Creek Transforms into a Winter Wonderland for the Holidays

Celebrate with your Family at the resort’s 12th Annual Magical Memories Celebration

The Resort at Squaw Creek, A Destination Hotel is a year-round, family-friendly resort on Lake Tahoe. Once the holiday season hits, however, the resort is transformed into a winter wonderland. The resorts month-long Magical Memories celebration takes over the property from Nov. 23, 2016 through Jan. 3, 2017 and provides fun for guests of any age level.

Activities include family-friendly events, food and drink specials, festive meals, live music and more. The highlight of this annual celebration is the tree lighting ceremony and gingerbread village unveiling, which both take place Nov. 25. Daily activities include slope side live music, sunset snowshoe tours, family movie nights and more. Breakfast with Santa, holiday children’s stories and snow fort building competitions are just a few of the many other events on weekends.

Magical Memories ends with a New Year’s Eve party complete with gourmet food, a live band, dancing, party favors and champagne toast. For kid and teen-friendly fun, there are separate Kid’s and Teens’ Night Out New Year’s Eve Bashes featuring food, games, crafts, a balloon drop and late night movie.

In addition to the holiday festivities the resort has many other amenities for guests to enjoy. There are five restaurants highlighting regionally sourced ingredients, the award-winning Spa at Squaw Creek, three outdoor heated swimming pools, and a shopping promenade. Plus, guests are treated to ski-in/ski-out access to Squaw Valley USA, a private ice rink, and the Nordic Center.
